On October 25th and 26th we were in London, at the Business Design Center in Islington to attend Bellavita Expo, one of the most international food fairs in the UK. Guests included Giorgio Locatelli, Carmelo Carnevale, Annabel Smith, Alistair Cooper and Ralph Carlone.
The crowning achievement of the fair was winning two Bellavita Awards, for best product and best storytelling. It was exciting to be awarded by the Italian Consul in London Marco Villani and by Raffaele Trombetta, the Italian Ambassador in London.
With a jury of more than 200 judges, Acetaia Midolini stood out as Friulian excellence in London. Carmelo Carnevale, president of the Association of Professional Italian Chefs in the United Kingdom (APCI-UK) used one of our aged Balsamic Vinegar, aged for 10 years in fine wooden barrels, to create one of his dishes.
