The Colli Orientali del Friuli is the cradle of our vineyards. Here, following the tradition, the Refosco and Friulano grapes are processed to give life to the magical drops of our Balsamic.
Our company is a single estate that owns 100 hectares of land, 35 of which are vineyards. All the vineyards are located exclusively in hilly areas, notoriously the finest for growing high-quality wines.
The controlled designation of origin (DOC) of Colli Orientali del Friuli regulates the production of this small wine area (approx. 2,000 hectares in total) and protects its characteristics, which give the grapes a high level of acidity combined with balanced sugar content.
AT THE CROSSROADS OF MEDITERRANEAN AND CENTRAL EUROPEAN CULTURAL INFLUENCES...
This is the land whose terrain, a few millennia ago, was the seabed of the Adriatic Sea. This shaped the excellent characteristics of the terroir, which alternates layers of marl (calcareous clays) with layers of sandstone (calcified sands). At the crossroads of Mediterranean and Central European cultural influences, this territory is the protagonist of the finest European’s wine culture.
